Meredith Hamrick has always been organized and productive and always loved hosting parties. So when it was time to decide what to do when she grew up, why not help others be organized and plan fabulous events? She became a certified medical assistant in 2003 and after working for a local physician as his assistant, she decided she wanted to go out on her own. She has received her Associates Degree in Culinary Sciences from Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and has also become a certified wedding coordinator through the Association of Bridal Consultants.
Her original company was called Just Duckie, LLC and was strictly a personal assistant company. “Family and friends were always asking for a helping hand, and I loved to do it. Then I realized I could make money doing what I loved to do, helping others.” This company went on to grow for the next couple of years. From running errands, to house sitting, to planning children’s parties, Meredith did it all.
Then in 2010, Meredith’s sister and 3 of her friends were engaged around the same time and why not ask the super organized Meredith for help. “Planning weddings are way different from planning children’s parties in one way, but in another way they are not too different. You just have to stay organized, know the right people, and stay on budget!” She went on to do a certified program and became a wedding coordinator. Thus Meredith Hamrick Events, LLC was born.
A year has passed and the two companies have been merged into a super company- Meredith Hamrick, LLC and she has created a wonderful and dynamic team. Meredith Hamrick LLC has gone on to plan many weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and has also helped many clients lower the amount of stress in their daily lives.
“All I want to do is make people happy and to help let them enjoy life. If you don’t enjoy life, then what is the point? I was raised to do unto others as you wish to be done to you, so I help.”
